The County Garden
A silver jewellery collection inspired by the tranquil allure of English cottage gardens. My family and I love to see them every day as we’re out and about in rural Dorset. After re-locating from the North West Scottish Highlands, the gardens here in West Dorset and South Somerset seemed very exotic. I didn’t know figs grew so well in this country, it’s impossible to walk around the small villages without seeing the distinctive trees growing against walls. So, you can imagine my excitement at banana trees casually growing in front gardens! My little girl Lily gets very excited by one house in our nearby town of Beaminster that has red grape vines running alongside the house and she loves to stop and pick them. The grapes are sweet and delicious and out of all the differences Dorset has to offer, the gardens at what grows here in abundance is the biggest culture shock.
This collection draws inspiration from the gentle beauty of those country garden flowers, translating their subtle charm into timeless pieces of jewellery. Just as every garden is unique, so too is every wearer of my jewellery and this collection celebrates that individuality. This collection shows different blooms growing together and darting dragonflies amongst them
Sunflowers
A burst of sunshine. Sunflowers, with their cheerful yellow petals and uplifting presence, have long been admired for their ability to brighten any space. I remember as a child my brother and I would be given a Sunflower each in the summer and it would become a competition as to whose grew the highest. In the South West we see fields of Sunflowers growing as commercial crops and they always make me smile.
Each piece is designed to reflect the sunflowers elegance and warmth. With tall standing blooms imprinted in statement earrings and pendant to delicate sunflower stud earrings and stacking rings, there is something for all sunflower enthusiast.
Jurassic Shore – Influenced by the rugged beauty of Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, each piece in the Jurassic Shores collection embodies the beauty, tranquillity, and vibrancy of coastal life
The Lighthouse collection is inspired by the enduring charm and symbolism of these coastal landmarks. As a child Flamborough Head was the nearest lighthouse to where I lived and in Scotland it was Store Lighthouse. Today Portland Bill, with its iconic red and white stripes, is the nearest lighthouse to us on the Jurassic Coast and these pieces incorporates different parts of these three important lighthouses in my life
Starfish
From tiny earrings to minimalist necklaces, this collection celebrates the natural beauty of the starfish, a beautifully understated animal. The starfish symbolizes resilience, regeneration, and guidance, and for me a most enchanting creature. In this compilation of jewellery, each piece is dainty and subtle with tiny starfish stud earrings and starfish charm necklace and a real pearl.
Jellyfish
I have wanted to make jellyfish into jewellery for some time. The ethereal movement of the elusive jellyfish that float like ghosts in our seas from the large lion’s mane to the tiny moon jellyfish, some with bright colours others almost invisible. It’s hard not to be charmed by them. In my collection they are definitely floating ghosts dancing together.
Shoal of fish
Inspired by the graceful choreography of fish swimming in unison, each piece in this collection represents the dynamic beauty of shoals in motion. Last summer while out on family fishing trips on the boat just off of West Bay, we were lucky enough to see huge shoals of sprats like shimmering silver balls constantly moving in the shallows.
