Handmade sterling silver spinning ring with 5 bands

Handmade sterling silver spinning ring featuring five delicate moving silver bands that spin freely around a wide hammered silver ring. Comfortable, tactile and beautifully eye-catching, this statement ring is one of the most intricate designs in my spinning ring collection and is handmade to order in any ring size.

The broad 12mm band is decorated with a hand-applied hammered texture, while the outer edges are gently flared to create an exceptionally comfortable fit. Five slender spinning rings move independently around the main band, creating wonderful movement and a satisfying tactile quality. The additional rings give this design a lighter, more layered appearance while maintaining the substantial feel of the main band.

Spinning rings, sometimes known as meditation or fidget rings, have been worn for centuries. I love the combination of movement and craftsmanship they offer, transforming what begins as a simple strip of silver into a piece of jewellery that is both interactive and elegant. The hammered finish is one of the oldest decorative techniques in jewellery making, yet it remains wonderfully contemporary and perfectly suited to modern wear.

Each ring is designed and handmade by me in my Dorset workshop using recycled sterling silver and traditional silversmithing techniques. Creating a spinning ring is a surprisingly involved process, with every spinning band individually formed, soldered, textured and fitted before the ring can be finished and polished. The result is a ring that feels substantial, moves beautifully and invites interaction throughout the day.
